What is Looking Glass?

Looking Glass is the tool that provides users with information related to our datacenter's backbone routing and the efficiency of their network. It allows you to search up our routing information via IP address (or prefix) and router with only a few simple steps. This tool lets you search for the information in 3 types of queries: BGP, ping, and traceroute.

How can you use this?

You can use this to verify our Servers & Datacenter network efficiency by simply navigating to lg.freedomcraft.network and inputting any public endpoint such as google.com, bing.com, 1.1.1.1, or even your own IP Address/Network. We aim to provide complete transparency in the services we host and support for players who may have poor connections or be located farther from the location of our Infrastructure in Dallas, Texas.

Why would you need this?

Bad ping and poor connections aren't always a result of distance and/or poor speeds, sometimes it's simply "bad routes" or "hops" along the way. This tool can help identify and confirm whether your connection issue is due to routing/network or otherwise. To combat network issues such as this, our team regularly recommends the use of CloudFlare Warp installed on your computer. CloudFlare's Warp tool more often than not will resolve connection issues to networked services such as Minecraft Servers, Websites, and more by simply providing your endpoint a more optimized route path. This has become quite a popular remedy especially for lower-end connections.
